# Send a file to another app

Sending a file requires three confirmations. Otherwise a file will not be sent. This is for your safety.&#x20;

## 1. Select files / folders

Use the selection mode to select multiple files / folders and select the share button <img src="https://2643346329-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fj9Ec8CpgEo9sgjpeiDUP%2Fuploads%2FnxvrCz0vcjiRWxWtggqw%2Fshare-pngrepo-com.png?alt=media&#x26;token=fb7b42e0-f7d2-4792-8e10-d60e0f0f1d16" alt="" data-size="line"> from the top menu.

You can also select the share button while viewing a certain file to send this file.

## 2. Choose the target app

A list will popup with all apps that can handle the selected files. Select the app you'd like to use as the target.

## 3. Proceed in the target app

The selected app will ask what you'd like to do with the files. That's the last point where you can cancel the process.

**Tip:** Don't mix files and folders during a single send-request. This makes sure that your selected target app can properly read the files.
